![]() ![]() almost always, an artwork is great because of the artist's skills & techniques. very few are the ones who do zoom in and pick up on those nuances, and they're mostly artists too. ![]() majority of the audience evaluate your art for the whole thing, especially if you're posting on instagram where images pop a thousand per second and you can't even zoom in. but i get it, sometimes just using a custom brush with a nice texture feels so much better to use when you're sketching or whatnot.īut generally speaking: the people who look at your art don't have the eye to be pick up on the nuances of that special custom brush you made for hours creating materials and doing trial & error fixes. yeah it's lazy but it helps me get the job done and sometimes the results of my customisation looks & flows better than the original. as long as i can customise the brush then I'm good. also it's less of a hassle, you don't have to make materials. I've made custom brushes but customising brushes made by others brings about the same feeling. ![]()
